The app encourages young people to log their every bite and classify foods using a “traffic light system” previously coined by researchers of red, yellow, and green foods. This week, WW (the rebranded Weight Watchers) announced the launch of its new food-tracking and nutrition app, “Kurbo by WW.” While there are numerous food-tracking, nutrition, and wellness apps available, Kurbo is unique: It is meant for children as young as eight years old.
I did this in an era before the internet really became a thing and certainly well before smartphones.
